Dronfield Clarion Cycling Club was formed in 2021 by local cyclists and is a section of the National Clarion Cycling Club covering the areas of North Derbyshire and South Yorkshire. We are a non-competitive cycling club offering leisure and touring rides. Our policy is to ride at the pace of the slowest rider in the group with regular regrouping stops – we don’t leave people behind!

Weather permitting, we aim to offer at least two rides per week throughout the year on Wednesdays and Sundays with the occasional ride on Saturdays. Our Wednesday rides are held in the evening to a local pub of between 20 and 30 miles. On Sundays the distance is dependent on the time of year but will tend to range between 35 and 70 miles. Whilst most of our rides are on roads, we also offer the occasional off-road ride. Many of our rides head into the Peak District, although we cover all points of the compass. Further details of our forthcoming rides and our start locations can be found on the Rides page of our website.
As well as day rides, we arrange weekend and longer events in youth hostels and hotels allowing us to explore outside of our local area. Cycle-camping is also popular with some of our members with the annual York Rally being one of our camping destinations. For more information, please visit the Events page on our website.
