Clarion 125th Celebrations – ‘Ride-out’ and pub lunch – Birmingham Tuesday February 26th
It’ll be 125 years to the day that the Clarion was founded, initially as the Socialists’ Cycling Club at the Birmingham Labour Church on Bond Street – Constitution Hill B19 3JT.
The Labour Church is long gone now, but it seems right and respectful that we visit the location to celebrate the foundation of our great club.
Our plans are to ride into Birmingham from a number of different routes, along cycle paths, canal paths and from the station, meeting up at noon at the Hen and Chickens Pub on Henrietta Street just round the corner from the Labour Church site.
We shall try to produce some memorabilia for the event to recognise that ‘you were there’ but will need to know numbers of people coming so that we can produce these and advise the pub.
If you would like to come along, please email bike@clarioncc.org
