BOWLAND – SADDLEWORTH AUDAX, our 200km hilly Randonnee which takes place on Sunday 8th July 2017, starting at 8.00 am at Denshaw Village Hall, Ripponden Road, Denshaw, Saddleworth, OL3 5SJ. From the Junction Inn on the 5 ways crossroads, this is 150m up the A672 Ripponden road on the right.
A scenic tour over the Pennines to Settle, return over the Bowland Fells with great views of the Three Peaks and then crossing Pendle Hill. With 3500 meters of climbing and 3.5 Audax Altitude points, this is a challenging event, but there is a reasonable time allowance for completion. The minimum speed required is 14.3 kph and the maximum speed allowed is 30 kph.

For those interested in the history of the Clarion Movement there is also the opportunity to call in at the Clarion House Tea Rooms http://www.clarionhouse.org.uk/ for an extra refreshment stop on the way if you get round quick enough before they close around 4pm.
