NEWS UPDATE :
Looking for National Clarion Cycling Club 1895? (after reading a letter in Cycling Weekly letters page?) we are sorry if you've ended on this page looking for them, because that's not us. The National Clarion CC 1895 was formed in 2006 as a splinter group who wanted to go back to the spirit of 1895 (whatever that was). Unfortunately they are not connected to this club, which is the one formed in 1894 and has a continuous membership and operation to this very day. Indeed this club now has 1,200+ members and is growing healthily with our love of the bike and with inclusiveness for all cyclists who want to enjoy the open road and a good friendship with our fellow riders. As such, we welcome you to join us, ride with us and be part of this great special club of ours, unique in the cycling world. For more information please contact bike@clarioncc.org
'Autumn Ride-Out' date announcement 18th - 20th October
We are pleased to tell you that we've booked Hartington YHA this year, a lovely hostel set in a fantastic little village with two pubs. Ride out on Friday or Saturday and join us for group rides around this beautiful part of Derbyshire and the High Peak. We've made a block booking so everyone should book through us. If you want a special room for couple or family, these are taken up quickly. Alternatively, muck-in with everyone else and have a laugh. CLARION CHALLENGE SERIES - 2013
A new initiative pulled together by the Clarion Committee is to link many of our section sportives, audaxes etc. together in one challenge series. We have rides for all abilities all over the country and there will be medals for those people completing a number of events.
This will be a great opportunity for members to ride with other section members and share in the Clarion team spirit and fellowship. You'll get to ride on hand-picked routes that other sections want to showcase.
CAN'T FIND A CLARION SECTION NEAR YOU, BUT THINK YOU'VE ENOUGH ENERGY TO START ONE? Then drop us an email and we'll tell you how we can make it easier than you can imagine to start a bike club and be part of an organisation that been running non-stop for 118 years
